Going through the Big D, and I don't mean Dallas.

JK. I'm totally in Dallas right now. I'm receiving my 2nd round of consolidation chemotherapy. I should be done on Sunday. Yesterday was extremely stressful. Not only did we have to wait 3 solid hours to see the doctor, but it took an hour and a half for them to clean/sanitize my room. Erin gets antsy when she's waiting. It's not pretty.

But, here's the thing. My doctor takes a long time because he takes his time with his patients. He's pretty awesome, by the way. And then my hospital room. OMG. Somehow i lucked out and got a corner room, so I have the best views, and the room is HUGE! Yea Boi.

But, most importantly, I get to sit in bed in my pajamas and work on art with my husband by my side. He is oh-so-patient.

I'm now going to take this moment to discuss something. Who thinks art is supposed to be pencil on paper or paint on canvas?! (*insert hand raise emoji here). I know I used to think that way.

It's not! Let's keep an open mind here. It's cross-stitching, knitting, crocheting, gardening, coloring in coloring books, decorating cookies, and, I mean, I could keep going! If you have some creative outlet, stick with it, and BAM, you're an artist. I'm currently going back and forth between my Louisiana drawings and coloring post cards. BECAUSE COLORING IN A COLORING BOOK IS ART TOO! Really, I guess it depends on how hard the pain meds have hit me. True Story.

So, if you make, create, or bake, you're an artist. Never sell yourself short.
